Smarter Skills can provide Nationally Recognised First Aid Training to public or private groups. Utilising the latest equipment all attendees get to practise the necessary CPR and other skills.
The public location is in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney. Private group bookings can be arranged anywhere in the Sydney area or in Wodonga in North East Victoria.
Lesley Jones
Head Trainer
Lesley is the main trainer and has over 30 years experience in nursing. She is a registered nurse and midwife and has substantial teaching experience. Lesley explains the course content very clearly and is committed to ensuring that all students gain the necessary knowledge and skills to gain their First Aid certificate.
Lesley is also a qualified Fire Safety Manager and provides fire safety training to groups in aged care facilities. This training is only available for group bookings.

Sally is an experienced and passionate Trainer with over 30 years experience in the Airline Industry and more recently as a Trainer in the VET system. Her areas of expertise include First Aid Training, WH&S Units as well as Manual Handling.
She has excellent skills in engaging a classroom of learners and can make any training situation a fun learning experience.
Tania is a Trainer in the Disability, Ageing and Community Services Industry, who has over 25 years experience, sharing her expertise and knowledge in Industry and lived experience as a Carer. She is passionate about Education & Training & supporting students on their Learning Journey.
Tania teaches First Aid and CPR in Wodonga in North East Victoria. The other classes that she teaches are Certificate III in Disability & Ageing and Certificate IV in Disability.
Jennifer is a registered Nurse who has been working with a number of disability support organisations for many years as a Clinical Nurse Consultant and educator and project officer. She is passionate about supporting others to deliver excellent health care to the person and their carers, and enjoys teaching new skills to those who want to learn more about health care. She has a Bachelor of Arts and a diploma in project management and quality auditing and is always happy to learn more about how the community sector can change to meet those service gaps that people often face when accessing health care.
Jennifer’s interests are yoga, fitness and cooking and traveling to remote places.
Steve Hiscocks
Business Manager
Steve is a Smarter Skills partner and provides administration, marketing and IT services. He has been involved in small business management for over 20 years gaining valuable sales and marketing experience.
His qualifications include a Bachelor of Education (Science) and many years experience as a computer programmer.
