New Quality Aged Care Standards
With the introduction of the new Quality Aged Care Standards that come into effect on 1st July 2019, it is a requirement that staff and board members be trained in the new standards.
Smarter Skills has developed a 2 -3 hour workshop tailored to different staff roles, managers and board members. These workshops are currently being delivered around Sydney and provide an overview of the 8 new standards and their relationship to work practice.

Leisure and Health
Smarter Skills offers a 2 hour workshop in non-accredited Leisure and Health which is the lifestyle component of the Aged Care industry. This training can be tailored for care workers or lifestyle officers working in residential and the home care industry.
For those interested in the fully accredited qualification, CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, we can arrange training through one of our RTOs where some government funding may be available.
Medication Refresher Training
As a registered nurse, our main trainer, Lesley, is qualified to deliver this non-accredited training as a refresher or new topic to relevant staff. The training can be adjusted to meet the needs of the community home care sector while still including safe work practices to meet the new quality Aged Care standards.
